Nos últimos meses tenho trabalhado, junto com o Christian Witschel, na organização de um workshop que será realizado aqui em Heidelberg. O objetivo do encontro é reunir especialistas de diversos países (Hungria, Alemanha, Israel, Itália, Inglaterra e Brasil) para discutir o que chamamos de “cultura epigráfica” tardo-antiga. Ou seja, tomar a epigrafia como um aspecto da cultura material romana, e analisá-la como parte dessa cultura – e não, como epigrafistas faziam antigamente, restringindo-se a textos. Queremos, assim, recolocar as inscrições em seus contextos históricos (sociais, culturais, geográficos, religiosos, físicos, etc). O encontro acontecerá em Heidelberg, em 26 e 27 de Junho, e para encontrar mais detalhes (inclusive o programa) basta conferir abaixo.
